Who we are

MD Motion is an Italian company located in Bologna. It is a leader in the manufacturing of custom digital electrical drives for brushless, induction and special motors. Our engineers can develop project suited for any need whatsoever including customized ones.

History:

The company was founded in 2003 by Renato Mattioli, Chartered Engineer, who is the Technical Director still today, with the goal of manufacturing and marketing Electrical Drives for brushless and AC motors in general.

Mr. Mattioli has developed products to control brushless motors for railway switches in extreme environmental conditions. (-40° to +70°C 30G). These are technologically the most advanced products at the world level that are currently used in the railway sector and are particularly effective in countries with extremely cold temperatures. Among his various activities, Mr. Mattioli is Adjunct Professor (for more than 13 years), at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Ferrara, of the official course of Electrical Drives, Masters’ Degree course in Electronic Engineering, with specialization in Automation. From this prolific collaboration, MD Motion draws its lifeblood necessary for its own research and development activities, in order to meet the most modern requirements of the marketplace.
